Refined petroleum, also known as refined oil or petroleum products, plays a crucial role in modern society, serving as a cornerstone of energy, transportation, and various industrial applications. Gasoline (Petrol): Gasoline is perhaps the most recognizable and widely used refined petroleum product. It is a fuel primarily used in internal combustion engines, such as those in cars, motorcycles, and small power generators. Gasoline is highly volatile and combustible, making it an ideal choice for powering vehicles and small engines.
Diesel: Diesel is another significant refined petroleum product used in transportation,particularly in larger vehicles like trucks, buses, and trains. Diesel engines are known for their fuel efficiency and higher torque, making them suitable for heavy-duty applications. Diesel fuel is less volatile than gasoline and is therefore safer for transportation and storage.

Kerosene: Kerosene is used as a fuel for lamps, stoves, and heaters, particularly in regions with limited access to electricity. It's also used as a starting fuel for jet engines and as a blending component in diesel fuel
